Superior Ambulance Service Production Supervisor in Elmhurst, Illinois

Overview

Paramedic Billing Services, Inc. is currently seeking a Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Responsible for oversight of all front-end billings production and quality

  • Production management of staff to be completed weekly

  • Time studies completed to assure production metric is appropriate using data and reporting to justify

  • Review of downtime used for accuracy

  • Note gap review to assure employees do not have unexplained absences throughout their day

  • Overtime scheduling and management

  • Alert Department Supervisor of possible need for OT due to drops in production, number of individuals on vacation

  • Issue corrective action plans for individuals not meeting the company policy for production and quality

    Hiring and onboarding staff as needed

  • Desk and material set up

  • Policy overview

  • Email IT for equipment/set up

  • Training materials – provided by trainer

  • Manage Progressive Production

  • Establish training timeline with Department Supervisor and trainer

  • Collaborate with training spreadsheet

Workload communicated to Department Supervisor and Processing Manager to assure on task for monthly closer

  • Daily review of which day each staff member is working on/set to work on

  • Alert of any possible hiccups (such as upcoming vacations, individuals who are not hitting production, those in training, etc) so that Department Supervisor can re-assign necessary tasks as needed

  • Alert employees that are deficient in their workload and of those that are ahead of schedule to assist in the areas of deficiency

  • Maintain work split and responsibilities so all items are completed timely

Dayforce management for approving time and time off request

  • Breaks are following policy

  • Punch in time vs. first note time

Monthly meetings with all staff members to communicate production, QA, and other areas of concern

Liaison between employees and Manager for basic employee needs such as PTO request, emergencies, issues

Assuring all company policies are being followed by employees

Qualifications

  • College preferred but not required

  • Minimum two years experience in customer care, account management or similar role

  • Healthcare knowledge is preferred

  • Must be a quick learner and motivated individual

  • Excellent verbal communications skills

  • Ability to “Multi-task”

  • Experience working active office environment

  • Basic knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurances

  • Positive, can-do attitude!

  • Ability to receive and implement feedback

  • Computer literacy; typing of at least 45 WPM is highly desired

  • Good judgement: demonstrating ability to escalate account when necessary
