Eaton Corporation Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer in Ellisville, Missouri

Eaton’s Bussmann Division is currently seeking an EHS Engineer to join our team. This position will be located in the St Louis, MO area.This position covers both the distribution center and the Bussmann HQ.

The EHS Engineer is responsible for supporting environmental, health, safety, and security efforts for our Ellisville Facility of approximately 100 DC employees and 80 salaried employees on the HQ. The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

  • Supports in development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives. Including the development of goals for site manager, leadership team, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.

  • Support integration of newly acquired companies and transition to Zero Incident Safety Culture.

  • Supports with for all Environmental, Safety, and Health compliance programs.

  • Support the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) and utilize MESH tools to drive improvements by participating and co-leading MESH Teams.

  • Manage and track all training for Bussmann on mandated regulations and standards. This includes live training of over 180 employees

  • Hold responsibility of domain manager for Bussmann division, including course development, editing, uploading, curriculum development within Eaton University.

  • Engage with teams and committees needed to accomplish established targets and objectives for the year associated with EHS.

  • Lead annual EHS Refresher training and safety feedback sessions nationwide.

  • Conduct assessments of Electrical Safety and EHS Programs, including field inspections, policy and procedure reviews to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement

  • Lead Incident investigations and identify corrective actions that address root cause.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in EHS in general industry

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Environmenal Health & Safety related degree

  • Proven experience in knowledge and/or experience driving process improvements and sustaining implementation to prevent future incidents.

  • Strong knowledge in federal RCRA waste management regulations and EPA, OSHA & DOT federal, state, and local regulations

  • Highly proficient in data management

  • Experience working in a unionized facility
