Riverside Farms Farmworkers/Laborers in Elk River, Minnesota

Need 34 full-time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers/Laborers to work in Elk River and Ramsey, MN. From: 02/15/2024 to 11/15/2024 Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon.-Sat. 8 hrs./day, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Work hours are determined by crop and weather conditions. The workday may begin/end earlier or later on any given day. Evening and night hours may be required. Workers may be requested to work additional hours, weekends, holidays, and the Sabbath depending on crop conditions and need. Hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Must Apply By: 07/02/2024 NOTE: Due to system rules, this job order will close before the recruitment period elapses on 07/02/2024, however a new job order will be created and posted for the remainder of the recruitment period. JOB DESCRIPTION: Plant, cultivate, harvest, wash, bag, box vegetables. Hand-pick produce. Use hand-tools for weeding. Clean work and storage areas. Assist in irrigation, equipment repair, and other miscellaneous duties assigned. Crops: rhubarb, squash, corn, cabbage, peppers, cucumbers, melons. 1-hour lunch break offered. Workers who have a clean driving record and insurable driver's license may be required to drive company vehicles. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 3 months experience; employment reference; able to lift 55 lbs.; may be required to obtain driver's license; no minimum education requirement. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $14.00 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
