About the Lead Driver Position

  • Supervise teams in safe and effective transportation procedures, to ensure compliance with law, customer policy, and company goals.

  • Provide effective leadership and foster professional attitudes in employees.

  • Develop, organize, and conduct training classes in all areas of training designed to provide fully qualified crews and other functions involved in operations.

  • Report all accidents immediately according to company policy and procedures.

  • Notify maintenance immediately of mechanical failure, and follow company protocol for safety deficiencies, or other incidents.

  • Maintain documents and submit payroll in a timely manner.

  • Maintain documents and submit invoices to Location Manager for customer invoicing.

Lead Driver Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Knowledge and experience working with computers and programs (i.e. Microsoft Suite, etc.)

  • Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and maintain a fitness for duty physical

  • An excellent driving record in compliance with Company standards

  • Proficient in verbal and written communication

  • Ability to interact with passengers, customers, and employees in a positive and proper manner

  • Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
