Kelly is Hiring for Warehouse Workers in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Shift & Compensation:

  • 2nd Shift: 1 PM - 9:30 PM

  • Pay: $18.50 per hour

  • Occasional Saturdays

  • Location: Elk Grove Village, IL

Description & Responsibilities:

As a Production Operator, you will have the opportunity to become a well-rounded production operator, learning multiple job positions, and seeing a product’s transformation from individual ingredients to finished product by performing the following activities:

Mixing:

  • Read and follow manufacturing order instructions, listing which ingredients to gather, measure, weigh, and document the amount needed.

  • Load required ingredients (that may weigh up to 50lbs.) into a mixer, blend the ingredients based on time specifications, and unload the mixer to transfer the mixed batch to the next process.

Extrusion Process:

  • Process mixing batches through extrusion equipment to make the finished product.

  • Use product controls to perform product sensory checks ensuring the finished product matches customer specifications throughout the extrusion process.

Polishing:

  • Manage and transfer finished products from our extrusion and drying processes.

  • Put the “finishing touch” on finished products using our panning process which requires loading finished products from drums, carts, or trays into polishing pans and adding liquid ingredients by hand or automation.

Finishing:

  • Manage the transfer of finished products from our extrusion processes using drums, carts, or trays to the next process.

What You'll Need:

  • One or more years of recent manufacturing experience within a production environment.

  • Previous experience in mixing, extrusion, batching, polishing, and finishing is desired. We are willing to train if you do not have all the necessary skills.

  • Ability to use a variety of hand-held tools such as RF scanners, hand trucks, and sifting screeners.
