The Production Team Lead will monitor process production activity, lead troubleshooting efforts and moderate between departments. In this role, you will maximize throughput and produce quality product while following all food safety and regulatory policies.

Shift: 1st shift

Compensation: $19.00/hourly up to $22.00 /hourly based on experience

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provide employee performance feedback to leadership.

  • Identify risks and recommend areas of improvement, innovation and training needs.

  • Lead process production issue troubleshooting of identifying causes and development of solutions.

  • Coordinate and moderate between departments to minimize disruptions and ensure continued flow between departments.

  • Monitor daily process production for assigned area and adhere to policies and procedures related to employee safety, food and feed safety and regulations.

  • Ensure that daily operations meet production schedules.

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer

  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays with advance notice

  • Communication skills in English (both written and verbal)

  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 55 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

  • Ability to stand/be on feet 8 hours per day/shift

  • Must be able to work in varied temperatures 55 to 65 degrees.

Preferred:

  • Basic math skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Forklift experience operating both sit down and stand-up forklifts as well as electric hand jacks

  • Experience in a food manufacturing production environment and leadership

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work productively in a fast faced paced, diverse environment

  • Experience in Warehouse Management system (WMS)
