SEEDWAY is part of the GROWMARK system, an agricultural subsidiary serving more than 100,000 customers across North America, Canada, and Mexico. SEEDWAY, LLC is a full-line seed company providing high quality, high-performing farm seed products as well as lawn and turf products throughout Pennsylvania, New York, New England states, Florida, and South Carolina. We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada. _ PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT_ Performs a variety of clerical duties, provides customer service to salesmen and customers, prepares documentation for seed export. _ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS_ Performs order entry and processes data entry related to credit status, acknowledgements and product and price verification. Answers telephone, determines the nature of business and directs call to correct department or person. Communicates with customers, salesmen, brokers and management to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders and address complaints. Operates office machines such as photocopiers, printers, personal computers. Interacts with brokers and government officials to ascertain seed export requirements, and facilitate international shipments. Prepares documentation for seed export. _ OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS_ Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. _ REQUIREMENTS_ Normally requires an Associate’s Degree in agricultural or business discipline, or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years or more work experience. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record. Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must be proficient in Spanish, speaking, reading and writing. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
