CHILD CARE WORKER RESIDENTIAL UNITS Mon - Sun (varies) 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm Req #: 8395 Category: Behavioral and Mental Health Status: Per Diem Shift: Per Diem Facility: Trinitas Regional Medical Center Department: 68120 - RESIDENTIAL-5 BED Location: NPC PLAZA BLDG, 654 E. JERSEY STREET, ELIZABETH, NJ 07206 JOB SUMMARY The New Point 5 bed psychiatric facility (specialty bed) serving adolescent females who are residents of NJ between the ages of 14 and 18. Services are voluntary. The program model is designed to respond to the needs of significantly traumatized youth who have severe behavioral and emotional disturbances. Youth admitted into the program demonstrate an array of behaviors that include but are not limited to impulse control, anger outbursts, assaultive behaviors, self-harming acts, and oppositional behaviors. An array of specialized treatment are incorporated into the trauma focused model including, Sexually Reactive Behavior and/or Fire-Setting Specific Treatment. Comprehensive family treatment is done when applicable which may include psycho-educational, group, and clinical family sessions. As a Child Care Worker you will be responsible for supervision of residents throughout shift, participate and lead program activities at the direction/discretion of management, document in the daily log book on pertinent resident information and provide psycho-educational groups, as directed by management. Educational Skills Required (Degree(s), Certification(s), License, etc.) B.A. Preferred. Unencumbered current drivers license required. Must have a clean drivers license record as determined by the employer and is also validated by the NJMVA. Work Experience Required Experience in crisis management.
