Need 15 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag Equipment Operators to work in Elbow Lake, MN. FROM: 03/01/2024 to 12/15/2024 WORK: 48 hrs./week, Mon.-Sat. 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Workers will be paid overtime in accordance with Minnesota Statute 177, specifically 177.25 Subdivision 1 and/or 177.23 Subdivision 7(2). Must Apply By: 07/24/2024 NOTE: Due to system rules, this job order will close before the recruitment period elapses on 07/24/2024, however a new job order will be created and posted for the remainder of the recruitment period. JOB DESCRIPTION: Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2091 Agricultural Equipment Operators such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with grain bins and augers; Clean, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn, soybeans; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer s fields, load employer s crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds; Regulate conditions; Haul and spread inputs, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, discard rotten items; Position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath, or after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather, crops or need. Employer may, at the company's sole discretion, pay workers an hourly rate above the minimum required and/or offer a bonus to any seasonal worker employed pursuant to this job order depending on how many years of experience they have obtained by working for the employer or other factors such as work performance, skill, punctuality, licensing, training, prior work experience, etc. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain a non-CDL driver's license within 30 days of hire and obtain clean driving record. Able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, possible random drug test at no cost to worker, and testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to perform work requiring exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, and repetitive movements. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $1 per 5.46day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
