Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Information Technology Team Manager to join our dynamic team working on the PNT SE&I Program. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the IT and Knowledge Management team, ensuring the effective design, implementation, and maintenance of information systems that support the program's objectives.

SAIC is a leading organization in the field of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing, and is the prime contractor on the PNT, Systems Engineering and Integration (PNT SE&I) Program in El Segundo, CA. We specialize in providing cutting-edge solutions to ensure the robustness and reliability of PNT systems critical for various industries, including defense, aerospace, and telecommunications. The GPS SE&I team works in a high-paced environment with government personnel and system developers to ensure GPS remains the gold standard for positioning, navigation, and timing. Major duties of this position include:

Duties:

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT and Knowledge Management professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Develop and implement team goals, ensuring alignment with the overall PNT SE&I Program objectives.

  • Oversee the design and implementation of robust and secure information systems in alignment with program requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IT solutions seamlessly into the PNT SE&I Program.

  • Implement and maintain effective cybersecurity measures to safeguard program information and infrastructure.

  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in IT security.

  • Manage the program's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Plan for scalability and growth in alignment with program expansion.

  • Work closely with other PNT program managers and project leads to understand IT needs and provide effective solutions.

  • Communicate IT strategies and updates to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

  • 14 years or more experience; Masters and 12 years or more experience

· Current Secret Clearance

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within IT, preferably in a complex engineering or defense program environment.

Desired

  • Understanding of PNT systems and related technologies.

  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

· Experience and familiarity working with DoD IT organizations

Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
