Position Description:

Supports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.

Major/Essential Functions:

  • Serves as a key participant with senior leadership and faculty in the implementation of the medical school curriculum.

  • In collaboration with Course Directors/Leadership and Associate Director create and monitor course calendar, and timelines for Learning Management System (LMS) and Canvas.

  • Responsible for coordinating all medical student-related activities that include, but are not limited to lectures, presentations, and interest group meetings for assigned course(s).

  • Scheduling of rooms appropriate for planned educational activities (e.g., lecture halls, small group rooms, labs, etc.) as requested by faculty.

  • As requested generate reports outlining curriculum implementation, examination results (aggregate and individual), and student/faculty evaluation results.

  • Responsible for obtaining final semester grades and enter them onto Banner by established deadlines. Employee will be expected to follow FERPA and HIPAA standards of confidentiality.

  • Participate in exam proctoring as a regular member of the ‘proctor pool’ as assigned.

  • Validate and/ or create Pre- Clerkship courses during roll-over period within Banner system for upcoming school year.

  • Monitor attendance, Canvas assignments, Remediation assignments, assure E-Portfolio professionalism statements are uploaded accordingly from the Texas Tech Assessment System (TTAS) along with professionalism Event Cards.

  • Work with the Information Technology (IT) Academics team towards developing new student performance tracking data for assigned course(s).

  • Serve as back-up for front desk as needed.

  • Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.

  • Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
