HOTEL LINE COOK DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES *MUST be Experienced Line Cook *Presents well-groomed representing self and hotel *Varied shifts; days, nights, weekends and holidays, as needed *Combined cook/dishwasher/pantry for full work week, 2 days off *Arrives before scheduled shift starts *Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods *Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes *Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, knowledge of safety procedures, including safe temperatures at which ingredients must be kept and to which food must be prepared to avoid Foodborne illness *Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating on complex dishes *Calm demeanor to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment *Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools, such as knife techniques for chopping, slicing, cutting and dicing *Presents self in professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential *Ability to communicate with coworkers and other departments with professionalism and respect *Ability to reach, bend stoop, push and/or pull and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift or move 40 pounds
