About Us:

Volunteers of America is a federal and stated funded comprehensive early childhood education program with a focus on child development that includes a child’s cognitive, physical and social emotional growth and development. The program fosters Family Engagement in all areas of a child’s development and provides comprehensive resources to low income families in the areas of health, nutrition and community resources.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Family Services Coordinator, the Preschool Data Outcome Specialist will be responsible for the data input and monitoring of Data Base System and interpreting data results for program improvement.

Essential Job Functions:

The duties below are intended to provide an overview of the duties required of the Data Outcome Specialist:

  • Input all relevant child and family data through the Data Base System.

  • Tracks agency’s attendance, meal counts, and other documentation of direct services.

  • Review all master files of assigned child and family and verifies that entry into Data Base System matches when compared to files.

  • Maintains accurate records as required by the program while ensuring their confidentiality such as child and family’s information.

  • Ensure that all reports are accurate required by the State and other mandates.

  • On-going monitoring of State and other required reports.

  • Collecting and updating waitlist through the Data Base System.

  • Plans and implements trainings based on data results to line staff and Center Coordinators as needed for program improvement.

  • Coordinates with Administrative Settings for program applications.

  • Participates in on-going recruitment and community events to maintain a waitlist.

  • Participate in the Program Self Evaluation.

  • Adhere to Volunteers of America Southwest policies and procedures.

  • Attends trainings, workshops and meetings as scheduled and/or assigned.

  • Performs special projects.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Travels to VOASW sites, community agencies, conferences, and trainings.

  • May need to support all VOASW sites.

  • Weekend and evening work may be assign as needed.

  • Abides by agency Standards of Conduct and policies, including applicable laws.

Qualifications

Qualification, Education and Experience:

Education:

• Associate Degree in Social Work or related field.

Experience:

• At least 1 year of experience working with Data Base System.• Experience with recordkeeping, reporting, and monitoring of Data Base System and other required documentation for accuracy.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have ability to read, write, and speak English. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Data Base System).• Excellent time management and organization skills.• Communication skills that foster appropriate interactions with staff, families and outside agencies.• Must have knowledge of State Guidelines and Community Care Licensing.
