SUMMARY

This occupation requires a broad background in manufacturing and supply chain management, as well as the ability to analyze data and collaborate with various departments to ensure production targets are meet. Responsible for creating and maintaining numerous production schedules that meets customer demand, ensure efficient use of resources, and optimize shop utilization levels. Provides technical support to operations, customers, suppliers, and program managers as needed. Support and lead special process and customer audits. Provide training and coaching to others as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Familiar with all areas of the shop and offices.

· Maintain Master Schedule, create and update jobs for production.

· Coordinate planning for machines based on job releases and customer demand.

· Customer liaison, interface with customers on schedule changes and problems.

· Manage proper flow of production orders on shop floor to accurately and efficiently support through-put and costing process.

· Schedule the manufacturing of all finished goods and WIP material in accordance with product forecast, customer demands and inventory demand levels.

· Communicate with Engineering, Production Management and Operations regarding delivery schedules to assure customer satisfaction.

· Attain a level product/commodity knowledge and to attain a level of awareness of supplier operations as they pertain to the schedule.

· Identify and evaluate critical program milestones, integrated master schedules, detail and sub-assembly dependencies.

· Production Order Maintenance

· Review and respond to MRP Messages

· Monitor available capacity and alert Leadership capacity doesn’t match needs.

· Reviews Production schedules and plant capacity data to ensure product completion per customer requirements.

· Monitor and control material movements to maintain the integrity of production schedules.

· Collaborate with purchasing, quality control, production and management teams to coordinate the flow of materials and finish products throughout the supply chain.

· Work with operations and manufacturing team to identify and address any bottlenecks or other issues that may impact production schedules.

· Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.
