    What you’ll do:

  • Provide exceptional service to every guest; this includes immediately acknowledging guests as they enter or call SDHS and thanking them for coming to SDHS. Check guests in and out for relinquishment and euthanasia services.

  • Check in stray animals brought in by the public and gather detailed information regarding the animal’s owner, found circumstance, and behavior.

  • Reunite lost animals with their owners by confirming ownership, collecting payment, and completing paperwork.

  • Assist owners who have lost their pet via stray walks, system searches, and lost reports.

  • Cross train in all areas of the Guest Relations department including Admissions, Stray, Reclaim, Lost and Found, and Adoptions.

    What we’re looking for:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in customer/guest services required, 2 years preferred

  • Bilingual skills a plus, bilingual-Spanish preferred

    Location & Hours: Based at our El Cajon Campus. These positions work will last for approximately 4 – 6 months .

    Pay: Starting range is between $18.25 – $20.53 per hour and is eligible for an hourly bilingual-Spanish premium.The actual hourly rate is determined by your related education and experience.
