Job Purpose:

Provides service to guests by greeting guests and operating our point of sale system

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)

  • Provides service excellence by acknowledging and welcoming guests entering the food venue, promptly entering information into the POS system, collecting and processing payment and returning change, if applicable, following established procedures, taking food and beverage orders, responding to guest requests, and delivering purchased food items to guests at the counter.

  • Ensures responsible alcohol beverage service policies are followed by asking for proper identification from guests who appear to be under the age of 30, measuring alcohol pours, monitoring alcohol consumption, ensuring guests do not become intoxicated following established procedures, stopping alcohol service at the designated time, and clearing all alcohol containers, glasses and bottles for each venue at the time specified.

  • Promotes guest relations by offering appropriate information, menu knowledge, pricing, knowledge of up to date promotional contests, giveaways, concerts, providing related assistance, and treating guests in a friendly and courteous manner.

  • Provides accounting of transactions during shift by entering cash transactions in to point-of-sale system, counting currency, processing guest discounts, vouchers, VIP points and credit cards, balancing money drawer against generated cashier report following established procedures, and reporting discrepancies to the food service management team.

  • Ensures concession counter areas are stocked and clean by completing and submitting supply requisitions, placing delivered water, bottled beverages, food and supplies and condiments in the server stations, and cleaning all surface areas, sinks, shelves, counters, floors and cashier stations according to established procedures.

    Job Specifications:

    Education and Experience

    Essential:

  • 3 months cash handling experience

  • County of San Diego Food Handler Card

  • CA ABC Responsible Beverage Service Certification

    Desirable:

  • High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, or G.E.D.

  • Guest or Hospitality Service experience

  • Concession experience

  • Food Server experience

  • Casino experience

    Skills and Knowledge:

    Essential:

    · Ability to count U.S. currency and make change in a fast-paced environment
