Job Description

In this inclusive role of Operation Engineer (software), we warmly welcome you to join our dedicated cluster in Operations Engineering Eindhoven.

As members of the Operations Engineering Software team, we prioritize supporting operations to ensure efficient processes and seamless integration of new features and improvements. We provide assistance to manufacturing regarding Microscope's software and IT-related concerns.

You will serve as a liaison between the R&D and Operations departments to facilitate the smooth implementation of product software. Your expertise lies in software and PC's that control the Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) and the applications that run on it.

As Operations Engineer (software) you will be involved in Cycle Time Reduction programs. You will be responsible for validation of microscope software automation applications, in close cooperation with the development team and project lead. You will drive the implementation of validated modules in manufacturing by means of training, instructions and support.

What will you do?

  • Validate newly developed microscope software automation applications, hands-on, on microscopes in manufacturing and elsewhere.

  • Implement and validate new system software and applications in operations by crafting work instructions and providing training.

  • Provide second line manufacturing support by solving problems with TEM IT hardware, applications, server and network issues

  • Identify root causes and providing permanent fixes independently or in collaboration with R&D

  • Handle and process manufacturing product rejects in partnership with suppliers and manufacturers

  • Collaborate with manufacturing and service on new software features

  • Initiate, manage and implement projects that benefits operations or manufacturing processes

How will you get there?

  • Minimum MBO+/ HBO Computer science or IT related

  • Possess excellent English language skills verbal and written. Dutch language will be highly advantageous.

  • You have practical ‘Hands-On’ approach

  • An analytical approach

  • Attitude of continuously improving operations and manufacturing processes

  • Teammate

Experience or knowledge of the following would also be beneficial:

  • Experience in manufacturing environment of complex high tech equipment

  • Knowledge of (Electron-)Optics, Electromechanics
