SAIC Agile Project Lead in EGLIN AFB, Florida

Description

At SAIC, we enable scientists and engineers to build next-gen munitions! We are seeking an Agile Project Management Lead, that is excited about research and engineering projects, to ignite rapid delivery of tomorrow’s munition technology. As the Agile Project Management Lead, you will adapt your deep understanding of Agile Project Management to heterogenous and matrixed teams and guide them to improve, innovate, and deliver a wide variety of munitions-related products.

This position is on-site at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), Florida. Depending on the need of the customer, the candidate will be able to work from home 1-2 days a week.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Reengineering a quantitative, task-centric management style into a well-oiled, outcome-based strategy.

  • Coordinating with business and technology teams on calibrating product priorities.

  • Maintaining close working relationships with product owners, scientists, engineers, collaborators, and stakeholders.

  • Conducting client interviews, authoring, and delivering presentations

  • Preparing training courses that teach and institute Agile concepts.

  • Quality oversight for development and maintenance of programs, systems, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to attain a TS/SCI clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • 3+ years ofexperience with any of the following -- DevSecOps, Lean, Agile, LeSS, SCRUM, or Design Thinking

  • Proficiency with Agile and collaboration tools such as Confluence, YouTrack, Kanban, Scrum Boards, Milestones, Systems Architecture, Lucid.app, Draw.io, and Microsoft Project

  • Disciplined organization skills for scheduling Agile ceremonies, workshops, and brainstorm sessions

  • Experience aligning Initiatives, Features, Epics, User Stories, and Tasks with customer expectations and contract milestones.

  • 3+ years of DevSecOps experience

  • One or more Agile Certifications for Project Management Professionals: PMI Agile-Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Agile Project Management (AgilePM) Foundation, Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe Agilist.

  • Exceptional verbal & written communication acumen.

  • Proven collaborative leadership with the ability to unite groups of diverse perspectives to manifest goal consensus.
