Cloud Developer Senior

We are currently seeking a Cloud Developer to join our FMDS team. In this role you will be a change agent by working on the TFM2 contract. TFM2 provides modernization and life cycle support of Information Technology infrastructure that host national implementation of the FAA's Traffic Flow Management (TFM) functionality. It also focuses on long term engineering services and the development of new functional enhancements that increase the capability of Traffic Flow Management.
Responsibilities Include:
Designs, architects, deploys and maintains cloud solutions
Developing solutions using Cloud services and Open-Source tools
Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical expertise on cloud cluster computing techniques and technologies of moderate to high complexity
Research, evaluate, and deploy advanced cloud computing systems and large data analytics
Assists customers with data integration and migration efforts, including mapping schemas and defining domain specific ontologies
Develop large data technologies, algorithms, and applications
Uses automated software source control systems to manage large, complex, mission-critical software baselines in a multi-stream, multi-release, multi-target environment
Follows, maintains, and improves software configuration management processes to ensure software baseline control and flawless system deployments
Designing and implementing new features and functionality
Utilizes automated means to manage target-specific software deployment images and tools
Prepares software releases for deployment to integration, test, and operational environments
Interacts with system engineers, software engineers, system administrators, and software and program leadership to ensure ongoing accomplishment of mission goals
Establishes new software source code streams via branching and merging of existing streams and baselines
Develops tools, scripts, and procedures to improve software lifecycle quality and productivity
Demonstrates highest levels of quality focus and attention to detail in ensuring accurate and complete software promotions, merges, builds, packaging, configuration, documentation, and deployment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree( in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field) + 10 yrs. related experience
Qualifications:
Experience using Java /J2EE applications
Experience with agile software design and development
Understanding of networking and internet protocols
Familiar with Cloud Service Providers
Experience with web services and API’s
Software development background with recent focus on DevOps
Experience using C/C++, SQL, XML and experience with databases
Experience with Cloud security
Experience implementing containerized solutions based on COTS software.
Experience with IBM Rational Team Concert, IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management, GitHub , Eclipse, Docker, and/or Ansible
Knowledge of the software life cycle
Knowledge of user interfaces
Demonstrate strength in solving complex problems
Interpersonal skills to interact with team members and customer
Flexible with schedule

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $154,211. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
