Summary

Make a real impact: join us in safeguarding lives and infrastructure! As the Emergency Management Specialist you will responsible for supporting emergency response elements and NASA during emergencies, and special events. Must also assist with the development of emergency plans, checklists, and procedures.

The minimum compensation for this role is $100,000.00 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe work manner.

  • Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, resolves problems, and maintains specific level of knowledge pertaining to emergency management actions.

  • Provides support to the Exercise Evaluation System by providing Emergency Management expertise and coordination.

  • Maintains and operates assigned equipment used in disaster operations to include computers, appropriate software, telephones, and radios.

  • Performs educational activities for the general population to include publishing bulletins, news articles, and giving briefings on disaster information.

  • Develops metrics, procedures, flowcharts, reports, and similar documents as required to support assigned organization.

  • Attends and participates in a variety of meetings, and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintains specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.

  • Participates in committees developed for special projects.

  • Complies with department policies, rules, and regulations.

  • Participates in certification training classes when offered and pass such classes per the certification criteria.

  • This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least two years of demonstrated prior experience in emergency management.

  • Honorably discharged from the Armed Services (If Applicable).
