Key Responsibilities

  • Positively participate in Goal Zero Initiative, including adhering to the Defined Activities as defined for their position.

  • Responsible for equipment checks and informing mechanics and supervisors of mechanical problems with the equipment.

  • Must be able to identify hazards on site.

  • Must be willing and able to learn general construction practices involving road construction.

  • Must have an understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.

  • Have the ability to work in an implement safe work practices and contribute to a safe work environment.

Skills/Abilities

  • Minimum 3 years of Grader operating experience.

  • Must have experience finishing road and stabilizing

  • Must be able to work in highly congested areas

  • Must be willing to do heavy intensive tasks/groundwork as required.

  • Willing to learn and take direction.

  • Must be able to communicate well with co-workers.

  • Must have a valid driver's license (class 5).

  • Must be able to work under pressure.

  • Must be physically able to perform all physical action pertinent to the equipment they operate.

  • Ability to meet and adhere to all safety requirements and applicable safety policies, including pre-employment drug, alcohol, and medical testing.

  • Must maintain active membership with the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), Local 955.
