Heidelberg Materials is looking for a qualified Dispatcher for our Edmonton operations. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this position will focus on efficient and effective trucking dispatch, front line interface with our customers and company haulers.

What you will get to do:

  • Monitor and control dispatch and movement of trucks

  • Liaise with a 3rd party broker to efficiently distribute aggregates and maximize loads hauled

  • Prioritize customers to provide superior service

  • Receive customer orders and schedule deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction and transportation efficiencies

  • Schedule trucks as required to meet customer orders while maintaining an efficient operation

Who we are looking for:

  • Post-Secondary education preferred: certification, diploma or degree

  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated customer service experience

  • Ready mix and/or construction building materials sector experience would be beneficial

  • Knowledge of the Edmonton & surrounding areas

  • Advanced communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Strong computer skills

  • A strong team orientated personality who gets along well with people
