Waste Connections Customer Service Representative in Edmonton, Alberta

As a Customer Service Representative, you support our goal of “First Call Resolution”. You are the voice of Waste Connections of Canada upholding one of our key operating values (Customer Service). You will be serving as the front-line contact for customers, residents, and prospective clients, you field all calls/emails and work to resolve problems and questions concerning service, billing, or new service. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for closing new customer sales, resolving customer issues, handling service changes, maintaining a strong customer relationship and providing ongoing services to current customers.

In this role, you get to liaise with other teams like Sales, Accounting and Operations to determine service requirements, resolve problems or complaints, and seeks cost-effective, safe, and environmentally sound solutions to service issues.

We are busy, but a fun place to work. There will be a high volume of calls and emails consistently, but with your speedy data entry, excellent call quality, and proficient Microsoft Office skills, you should be able to handle those with ease.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2-3 years of Customer Service experience in a high call volume atmosphere.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Email, and data-entry/typing.

  • Excellent verbal communications skills.

  • Multitask and prioritize workload on a daily basis.
