Roosevelt Care Centers HOUSEKEEPING (Building Maintenance Worker) PER DIEM in Edison, United States

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs varied tasks involved in the cleaning of resident bedrooms, activity areas, dining areas, offices and public areas of the care center.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Cleans, dusts, mops, and sanitizes the walls, floors, fixtures and furniture of residents' rooms and other areas.

Vacuums and shampoos rugs and carpets.

Strips, reapplies wax and polishes floors and access ways.

Cleans and sanitizes bathroom and bathroom fixtures.

Mixes and handles cleaning chemicals.

Empties and disposes of trash.

Performs tasks in accordance with prescribed infection control procedures and other safety procedures.

Loads, unloads and moves cleaning carts to work areas.

OTHER JOB DUTIES:

Attends required in-service training.

Does related work as required.

Assists other personnel when required.

BASIC COMPETENCIES EDUCATION:

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the job.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous Housekeeping experience preferred: however, on the job training is provided.
