HMH Hospitals Corporation seeks an Investment Associate, Private for its Edison, NJ location.Duties: Responsible for bottom-up investment manager sourcing, diligencing, and monitoring efforts to deliver enhanced investment performance and drive alpha opportunities across private asset classes. Identify top-tier investment partners globally who consistently outperform benchmarks and help exceed target returns. Work in collaboration with the Portfolio Construction team to evaluate current and prospective managers to ensure adherence to investment policy guidelines, asset allocation objectives, risk management controls, and performance benchmarks. Perform sophisticated financial research and analysis utilizing statistical, quantitative and modeling techniques to help identify, evaluate, and source investment partners across a broad range of asset classes including public equity, venture capital, and private natural resources. Perform comprehensive financial diligence process by researching and analyzing financial portfolios and investment histories, examining financial statements, making recommendations on investment sourcing, and preparing investment memoranda. Provide analytical support to help negotiate fee agreements and legal terms of investment. Monitor and evaluate invested capital according to established schedules and procedures. Monitor and evaluate current external investment managers. Prepare investment performance reports and investment fund information for the Investment Committee, Trustees, and other external constituents and audiences by conducting ad hoc studies and projects, as well as assist in the preparation of position papers for the Investment Committee on various asset classes, investment strategies, investment managers, and the long-term performance of the portfolio. Requirements: Must possess a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or a closely related field plus 3 years of experience as a financial investment analyst or a closely related occupation. Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree Finance, Economics or a closely related field plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a financial investment analyst or a closely related occupation. Must have at least 1 year of experience in investment management and analysis for academic institutions. Professional experience must include: Performing comprehensive financial diligence by researching and analyzing investment portfolios and track records, examining financial statements, making recommendations on investment sourcing, and preparing investment memoranda; Performing sophisticated financial research and analysis utilizing statistical, quantitative, and modeling techniques using Microsoft Excel (including VBA), and Burgiss/Caissa; and, preparing investment performance reports and investment fund information.
