Overview

Pay: $50,000 annually

Location: Edison, NJ

Schedule: Full time, shift times and days may vary

Position Summary: Responsible for the management of food services, which includes the cafeteria and cook on special center functions in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, coordinate and supervise the administrative and food service activities of the department.

  • Evaluate staff performance, provide staff training, and recommend personnel changes to the director.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new and revised policies and procedures affecting food services. Design and implement staffing schedules that fit the center needs.

  • Provide appetizing, nutritious and realistically proportioned meals in a clean, comfortable environment.

  • Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.

  • Conduct inspections of food service areas.

  • Ensure quality of production and food purchase requirements; maintain cost control to stay within budget limitations; assist in inventory control.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree and supervisory experience preferred.

  • Valid serve safe certification and one (1) year related experience required.

  • Valid driver's license with and acceptable driving record.
