MTC Supervisor, Facility Maintenance in Edinburgh, Indiana

Pay:  $59,000

Work schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm -- Monday - Friday

Are you an experienced Maintenance Supervisor with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for keeping facilities running smoothly? We’re seeking a dedicated professional to lead our maintenance team, with a preference for candidates who hold an HVAC certification. If you're skilled in HVAC systems, preventive maintenance, and team leadership, we want to hear from you!

Job responsibilities:  Directly supervises the maintenance technicians, maintenance workers, custodians/ groundskeepers, and student interns. Responsible for the supervision of the maintenance department.

Essential functions:

  • Plan, coordinate and manage the administrative and maintenance services of the department

  • Evaluate staff performance, provide staff training and recommend department and personnel changes to the director, facility and administration

  • Assist the F&A Director in the development of departmental budget; monitor and control expenditures. Assess internal controls to safeguard all facility maintenance department equipment and supplies. Make improvements where necessary

  • Conduct regular inspection of buildings; grounds and equipment to ensure proper repair, facility improvement and preventative maintenance in compliance with program requirements and safety/ building codes

  • Perform maintenance and custodial tasks on buildings, grounds and equipment as needed; maintain an effective work order system. Monitor daily productivity of staff members to reduce inefficiencies and minimize task completion

  • Managing & scheduling onsite contractors and obtaining bids

  • Drafting scopes of work

  • Responsible for reporting out metrics for maintenance department dashboard

  • Responsible for managing the work order ticketing system software

  • Responsible for creating seasonal preparation plans

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining equipment servicing plans

  • Responsible for after hours on-call scheduling

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience.

  • HVAC certified preferred

  • Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements

  • Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required

  • A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
