BrightStar Care Speech Language Pathology Assistant-SLPA in Edinburg, Texas
Provides Speech Therapy services to residents by assisting in the assessment and treatment, development and implementation of programs, and related professional in services. AFTERSCHOOLERS Location: Lower Valley Brownsville, San Benito, Harlingen, La Feria Location: Mid valley: Mercedes, Edcouch-Elsa, Weslaco, Donna ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: * Provides Speech therapy services to clients under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist in accordance with state regulations. * Assists the Speech Therapist in the evaluation process as needed or directed. * Assists the Speech Therapist in identifying a problem list, short-term goals, long term goals and treatment plan. * Monitors client's response to intervention and consults with Speech Therapist if modification is indicated. * Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development. * Adheres to Speech Therapy Department procedures regarding documentation of * Physical Therapy services. * Provides treatment in accordance with established standards of practice, department procedures and productivity standards. * Records billable treatment times according to Speech Therapy Department procedures. * Assists with and participates in Quality Assurance Programs as required. * Performs other duties as assigned.
