GTL is seeking an Implementation Specialist to join our team in our Tech Support department. The Implementation Specialist is the main point of contact and technical resource for visitation installs and upgrades for new and existing GTL customers. We are seeking candidates who thrive in a fast-faced environment. The ideal candidate will be team oriented, able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, exude excellent research and communication skills, and be able to document thoroughly. Responsibilities: Lead technical aspects of installation and upgrade projects for new and existing customers, working with on-site technicians, customers, partners and other departments within GTL Client requirement gathering Create and publish architectural drawings Environment hardware planning Premise environment installation Multi-server Linux VM config Configuration of storage arrays and databases Application and Service Layer standup Full environment testing AWS integration (where needed) Go-Live Support Accurately document details of changes, tasks and current status updates in Service-Now Change Management module as well as Service-Now Visual Task Boards Work problem issues that occur during the install/upgrade and escalate those issues that cannot be resolved using current knowledge to the next level Communicate with Project Manager regarding tasks, timeline, status and any foreseen roadblocks Test/setup/troubleshoot of client software installations, test platforms, and equipment Will be required to provide on-call support as needed to provide 24/7 coverage of systems Plan, install, and support software upgrades on customer servers and networks Other duties as assigned such as assisting with escalations Qualifications: Bachelors degree preferred. Equivalent work experience can be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 4 years of related technical implementation experience required. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience specifically supporting GTL's Video Visitation product. Proficient in the use and troubleshooting of industry standard software packages including but not limited to: Linux knowledge/troubleshooting is required Basic Windows or Linux command line experience is required Remote connectivity tools such as VPN, RDP, VNC, SSH, ADB is required GNU Gatekeeper, Flash Media Server experience required WebRTC Experience Desired Basic Microsoft SQL Server 2008,2012 with SQL language skills Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows required, CentOS is desired ITSM Systems: Service-Now, Remedy, etc. required Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Browsers: Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Apple Safari Android OS / iOS Troubleshooting is desired Exceptional listener and communicator; Strong verbal and written communications skills Ability to discuss technology terms and process with a non-technical audience Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task on work assignments Strong organizational skills Able to work independently and in a team environment Excellent research and documentation skills Schedules may vary based on business need Provide on-call support as needed to provide 24/7 coverage of systems GTL, an innovation leader in correctional technology, education solutions that assist in rehabilitating inmates, and payment services solutions for government.?
