Chimera Enterprises International Security Analyst in Edgewood, Maryland

Description. Chimera Enterprises International is seeking a Security Analyst to support the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO- CBRND) JPEO-CBRND Headquarters (HQ).  The JPEO-CBRND manages our nation’s investments in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense equipment, and medical countermeasures. battlespace worldwide. This position requires a TS/SCI clearance.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain Access Control program for JPEO HQ building E5101, processing visitors, and conducting 100% ID checks to ensure only authorized persons displaying a valid form of identification enter.

  • Familiar with/able to demonstrate a knowledge of the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG)/JPEO’s Emergency Action Plans (EAPs which covers fire, bomb, intruder, etc. type events). 

  • Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations and directives for the viability of the site and the safety of personnel, equipment and sensitive information.

  • Conduct building sweeps in and around restricted/non restricted areas, identify potentially prohibited items, and check the status of non-classified areas within building E5101.

  • Answer telephones and emails (and other means as required, such as MS Teams) as they pertain to assigned duties.

  • Maintain the Department of the Army (DA) Form 1999 “Restricted Area Visitor Register” and monitor the secure locations (e.g., Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) rooms, etc.) and maintain an access roster for classified locations, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access.

  • Work with JPEO CBRND Security Specialists to ensure success of the security programs, make recommendations to improve the overall security operations and provide a brief summary of events which impacts daily operation functions.

  • Perform Personnel Security (PERSEC) tasks within Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Scattered Castles, and Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System

  • The contractor shall serve as alternate Special Security Representative (SSR):

  • Assist to implement and manage day-to-day administration of SCIF security.

  • Assist and provide advice on SCI program management policy, plans, and operations integration.

  • Provide non subject matter expert assistance/support as needed during emergency operations, including crisis response, continuity, contingency, and exercise activities.

  • Serve as Primary Point of Contact (POC) for the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) Mailroom; Distribute and track all incoming mail, packages, shipments, etc.

  • Conduct Start and End of Day procedures and report any potential findings to JPEO CBRND Security Specialists.

  • Complete and compile Standard Form 701 “Activity Security Checklist” and the Department of the Army (DA) Form 1594 “Daily Staff Journal” and maintain accountability logs and reports for visiting personnel daily.

  • Create an Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance Systems (APACS) account. Process travel request for JPEO personnel traveling on official foreign travel orders. Review the theater and country-specific information in the DoD's Electronic Foreign Clearance Guide.

  • Work an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday from 0800 – 1630.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Requires Secret (S) access to perform Access Control tasks, monitor the Defense Information System for Security (DISS); Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) access required to assist with operating the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF).
