Stallion Insurance Group Inc. seeks a Training & Development Specialist based at the company headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. Job duties include: Under the direction of General Manager, design and conduct work-related training and development programs to improve employee skills and company performance, in business communications, sales promotion, insurance program presentation, problem solving, and customer relationship development. Analyze company training needs and evaluate training effectiveness. Present training information with a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures. Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts and visual materials. Evaluate modes of training delivery, such as in-person or virtual, to optimize training effectiveness and costs. Offer specific training programs to help employees maintain or improve job skills. Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers or customer representatives. Monitor, evaluate, and document training activities or program effectiveness. Design, plan, organize, or direct orientation and training programs for employees or customers. Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen. Evaluate training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, or handouts. Monitor training costs and prepare budget reports to justify expenditures. Keep up with developments in area of business training; attend meetings or seminars to obtain information for use in training programs or to inform management of training program status. Coordinate recruitment and placement of training program participants. Select and assign instructors to conduct training. Schedule trainings and workshops based on availability of space, equipment, or instructors. Position requires a Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Development, Management, or a closely-related field, plus at least 6 months of work experience in supporting business development, account management, and business communication in the insurance industry.
