GENERAL PURPOSE The Territory Sales Manager will actively pursue new accounts, generate new business, and effectively manage current accounts. This includes fostering account relationships as well as growingthe territory at target levels. The ability to lead, manage, and follow the sales cycle from beginning to end is absolutely necessary. DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Own territory sales target- including direct, distribution & national account success Manage portfolio of accounts within given geography: - Build and strengthen relationships with key players / decision makers including sales teams, design engineers, purchasing, and leadership - Actively pursue new business to penetrate and grow in theterritory- including identifying high growth accounts, targeting key brands & categories, and nurturing the project lifecycle to drive revenue - Participate in events strategically aligned to initiatives and account growth opportunities - Build, execute and manage partner programs to drive continuous account growth - Keep teams informed of new products & services;assist in product selection where needed - Build and deliver quarterly business reviews for account leadership that provide a comprehensive overview of performance and opportunities - Ability to analyze sales data and market trends and leverage those findings to develop and implement unique strategies within your territory on both the micro and the macro level Collaborate & liaise with broader Legrand team to deliver specialists where needed, provide strategic relationships, and connect stakeholders within our industry Maintain regional peer manufacturer rep relationships to identify partnership opportunities Leverage Power BI to track progress and identify trends/opportunities within your territory Effectively communicate between internal departments to manage projects and support accounts (i.e., Product Management, Management, Engineering, Customer Service, etc.) Represent Company at trade shows, trade associations, and client meetings to promote products Assist in escalating customer experience challenges through processes to resolution Effectively manage travel and expense budget Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in Salesforce Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations. JOB REQUIREMENTS Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to build relationships Good computer and database skills with proficiency in using the internet and Microsoft Office suite of software including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power BI Experience maintaining data within a CRM, ideally Salesforce Proven ability to understand and practices value added selling Proven sales success, ideally omni-channel B2B Ability to operate/work in a high growth & entrepreneurial environment Demonstrated ability to be customer focused and responsive to questions and needs Ability to work in a team environment, and leverageadditional resources as needed Must possess high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information Minimum Qualifications and Education: Bachelor's degree in business management and a minimum of three (3) years' distributor and dealer sales experience; or combination of relevant education and experience Special Job Requirements: Must be able to provide for a safe home office working environment Must be available for extended, varied work hours based on business need Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with specific geographical-based markets in which the position resides WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to make coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a keyboard Ability to lift up to 50 pounds General (home) office and field sales environment Requires regular ground travel to customer facilities 3-4 days/week, overnights high possibility given geography Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 50% travel Note: Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
