Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to underpin the financial team in our manufacturing company. The role involves processing payments, handling expenses, and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts. The ideal candidate should have a background in finance, be familiar with bookkeeping, and show great attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounts payable transactions, maintain accurate transaction files and records.

  • Process and verify invoices from suppliers and vendors.

  • Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies.

  • Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports.

  • Maintain vendor files and updating the accounts payable system.

  • Assist in month-end closing procedures and prepare various monthly reports.

  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.

  • Knowledge of account payable principles, procedures and standards.

  • Practical experience with accounting software and databases, specifically with manufacturing industry.

  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

  • Strong organization skills with high attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
