Emerson Manager Production in EDE, Netherlands

We are looking for a resourceful Manager Production with strong organizing and communication skills to join our dynamic business. This position has a diverse team (30-40 people) to coordinate with responsibilities spanning all of our production processes.

By joining us as our Manager Production you will lead and coordinate all activities for our production site in Ede, in order to achieve departmental goals concerning to safety, 5S+1, quality, output, productivity and service levels.

In this role your responsibilities will be:

  • Adhering to Emerson’s commitment to Environment, Health & Safety as a core business value: taking an active role in the prevention of waste, pollution, injuries & accidents; consistently following established rules and procedures; using proper equipment; and reporting and correcting incorrect or unsafe acts and conditions, conducting Safety Walks and using our safety reporting system to record and report.

  • Ensuring a safe working environment for all employees with respect to all business activities.

  • Managing the day-to-day activities (warehouse, welding, hydro static testing, calibration, electronic assembly, packing) and responsibilities of team members.

  • Working according to LEAN methods and optimize production processes.

  • Setting team goals according to strategic plan in collaboration with the management team.

  • Creating & updating metrics reports (e.g. On Time Delivery, productivity, unit output, throughput times)

  • Executing the European build plan for our Coriolis product line.

  • Driving Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP)

  • Be pro-active on reporting, implement initiatives to address and solve: safety issues; customer complaints/satisfaction; non-conformities and quality issues: CAR (Corrective Action Report)/CER (Customer Experience Report)/OBQ (Out of Box Quality)/NC (Non Conformity).

  • Monitoring Work In Progress; take actions to reduce incomplete Finished Goods inventory.

  • Leading daily Production meeting and alignment of related Production schedules, over-time and inventory planning to ensure on-time shipment.

  • Following ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 17025 and MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) as well as AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) standards and participate during (re)certification audits.

  • Providing capacity calculations and suggestions to the Director Operations based on European SIOP forecast and advice on headcount requirements based on forecasted demand and acceptable productivity level.

  • Establishing and maintaining effective inventory management process and controls to ensure high inventory accuracy and security.

Who you are

You are passionate about making an impact and always act with integrity; continuously pushing yourself to achieve new goals and are not afraid to question the status quo by proposing creative solutions to problems. A great communicator with strong interpersonal, communication and planning skills, and a professional demeanor. You are methodical, self-motivated, well organized and coordinate your own workload and priorities skillfully. You are able to present and report on several KPIs for your department. You can balance the needs of a large and industrious team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring when needed.

For this role you will need:

  • Fluent Dutch and English language skills; verbal, reading and writing

  • 3+ years of leadership experience required

  • 5+ years of experience required in an Operations or Supply Chain environment

  • To work flexible working hours if/when required

  • To be contactable outside regular working hours (in case of questions from other shifts)

  • Experience using an ERP system, preferably Oracle

Preferred qualifications that set you apart:

  • Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in Manufacturing or Logistics, or other relevant area
