Quality Inspector - Finishing Department Our Quality Inspectors perform final inspections on all products to ensure product meets established specificiations pior to shipment. Responsibilities Use gauges, coordinate measuring machines, scales, and vision to inspect products. Generate spreadsheets for data collection. Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments. Interact with department management, production and other inspectors as needed. Daily communication with supervisors and operators on potential defects. Test incoming/outgoing materials. Send bad product back to production to be fixed, before allowing product to be shipped out or used in production. Help pack products into shipping containers as needed. Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Work with Quality Supervisor and production team to develop more efficient processes and higher quality standards. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibility. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Required Education and Experience 1. Manufacturing/industry experience. 2. Quality inspection experience. 3. Experience using measuring instruments.
