Lathrop Community Inc Handy Person/Facilities Tech in Easthampton, Massachusetts

Hndy Person/Facilities Tech Hours of Shift are - 8AM to 4PM or 12 noon to 8PM Monday thru Friday with on call responsibilities The Lathrop Community, a Kendal affiliate is adding to our Facilities team. The facilities staff at Lathrop is responsible for maintaining the building and grounds of both the Easthampton and Northampton campuses. This fully benefitted position is a key part of the resident experience, the facilities staff is primarily responsible for the physical campuses on which our residents live. MAINTAINS BUILDING ENVIRONMENT by sustaining building equipment, heating, cooling, electrical and plumbing systems. Must have basic working knowledge of related trades-crafts (plumbing, carpentry, electricity) and have interior and exterior painting skills. Must be capable of operating power tools in a safe & proper manner. Must have a valid drivers license and a driving record acceptable to our insurance company. You will be required to work on both Easthampton and Northampton campuses. Must be able to work along side of other trades people; carpenter, electrician, plumber. Ability to climb, walk long distances, lift, push, pull, and carry weights from 60 pounds up to and in excess of 125 lbs. Exposure to mechanical equipment in potentially dangerous situations and the usual risks involved with using ladders, working at high elevations, dust and handling of job related materials and supplies. Exposure to extreme outside temperatures sun exposure, frostbite. On call and overtime flexibility as needed is required. Lathrop promotes a diverse and inclusive employment experience.
