Xylem Field Service Technician - Electrical in Eastern Creek, Australia

Xylem has an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified electrician , this person will have a passion for customer service in the water and wastewater industry. This role is part of Xylems National Treatment MC&I Team and the suitable candidate will be based in the Sydney region.

To be successful in this role you will be a trade qualified electrician with a keen interest in the treatment, monitoring, control and instrumentation in the water and wastewater industry. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as an electrician and will have a reasonable level of mechanical fitting skills. This role requires a high level of detail, great attitude, solid time management with exceptional communication skills (both written and spoken).

The role requires a high degree of travel across New South Wales as part of a National Treatment MC&I Team, the role will also require interstate travel to support Xylem customers.

This role will see you:

  • Carry out routine and emergency service/repair work on various Xylem products

  • Primary focus is Xylem’s UV & Ozone systems and associated equipment and products.

  • Perform chemical cleaning and service on Xylem’s Diffused Aeration systems.

  • Test and inspect various Xylem MC&I products, including providing condition reports and recommendation to Xylem customer

  • Follow QA procedures and Safety requirements

  • Provide timely and accurate advice and support to staff and customers on service, workshop and product related issues both orally and in writing.
