The Heat Transfer Group in Carrier’s Mechanical Center of Excellence is seeking a motivated, results oriented and experienced engineer to join our team. The candidate will be a key member of the team providing advanced heat exchanger solutions to Carrier’s global HVAC&R portfolio. The candidate’s primary responsibility will be to lead modeling-centered technology development and capability transfer. They will collaborate with other technology experts, modeling and simulation experts, product design groups, supply chain partners, and others to develop new opportunities to improve the performance, cost, and reliability of Carrier products.

Role Purpose:

  • Work with a diverse team of heat transfer experts

  • Lead technology development programs that will enable career growth

  • Lead modeling-based technology development with focus on heat exchangers

  • Lead modeling-based technology transfer efforts as part of global company transformation

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage technology development programs and deliver on-time solutions to internal customers. Including technology transfer activities related to ongoing global engineering transformation activities.

  • Apply state-of-art design and simulation tools to optimize heat exchanger performance with a focus on compact heat exchangers and electronics cooling

  • Drive continuous improvement in the methods and tools used to design heat exchangers.

  • Develop, validate, and deploy new heat exchanger technologies for Carrier’s current and growing range of products, including electronics cooling.

  • Identify and pursue innovation opportunities that improve efficiency, cost, reliability, and competitiveness of Carrier products.

  • Lend expertise to cross-functional product development teams to ensure successful insertion of new technologies in Carrier products.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 7+ years of engineering experience

OR

  • Master's degree in engineering with 5+ years of engineering experience

OR

  • Ph.D. degree in engineering with 3+ years of engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong modeling and simulation capabilities with a focus on heat exchangers and thermodynamic systems

  • Experience lending expertise to cross-functional product development teams

  • Ability to drive continuous improvement in the methods and tools used to design heat exchangers.

$90,263 - $157,959 Annually
