Leading jewelry manufacturer known for its exquisite designs and high-quality craftsmanship, is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning within the jewelry industry, with the ability to manage the flow of materials, coordinate production schedules, and ensure timely delivery of finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules based on order forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity. Ensure timely and efficient production to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage raw material and component inventory levels. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.

  • Order Coordination: Collaborate with the sales and design teams to understand order requirements, prioritize production runs, and manage any changes or adjustments to orders.

  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize waste. Analyze production data to recommend and implement best practices.

  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that production processes meet quality standards and specifications. Address any quality issues that arise during production.

  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with various departments (e.g., design, procurement, and production) to ensure that resources are allocated effectively and production goals are achieved.

  • Reporting: Generate and analyze production reports, including progress, delays, and performance metrics. Provide regular updates to management on production status and any potential issues.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, preferably within the jewelry manufacturing industry or a similar high-precision field.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of jewelry production processes, materials, and supply chain management. Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.

  • Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments and interact with suppliers and customers.

  • Education: Minimum - HS Diploma or equivalent

  • Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or a related field. Relevant certifications or additional training in production planning is a plus.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in production planning software and tools. Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
