Job Number: R0183201 Red Hat Systems Administrator The Opportunity: Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the perfect fit to communicate and solve recurring problems. You can use those skills to improve the technology supporting the Pacific Northwest largest Naval Shore Facility. We're looking for a system administrator with experience in Linux environment to help us deliver and maintain modern and reliable IT systems for an industrial workforce. As a system administrator on our team, you'll constantly look for ways to not only make our systems secure and compliant, but also to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and best implementation strategies. You'll collaborate with cybersecurity and other organizations to advance the capabilities of the network while staying secure and compliant to regulations and mission requirements. Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You'll help our network stakeholders better understand the network by translating metrics into decision-quality information and explaining in meaningful ways. You Have: 6+ years of experience administering enterprise-level IT systems 4+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator Experience with designing, deploying, managing, and configuring server solutions using Red Hat Enterprise Linuxand with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing RHEL operating system and software services Experience with maintaining high system availability and secure system posture for physical and virtual systems Experience with patching and maintenance in RHEL, including facilitating regular vulnerability scanning and log aggregation Experience administering RHEL firewall, FAPolicy, and SELinux configurationsand with administering partitions, volumes, permissions, encryption and access control for Unix-based file systemsand requesting and installing server and web PKI certificates Secret clearance Bachelor's degree Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification, including RHCSA or RHCE CompTIA Security+ CE Nice If You Have: Experience with developing and managing scripted solutions Experience with the management and operational use of systems monitoring tools, including Splunk Experience facilitating ACAS vulnerability scanning Experience with managing Satellite Patching Servers Experience with VMWare virtualized systems in enterprise-class data centers Experience administering Centrify and Centrify-managed Linux systems Master's degree TS/SCI clearance Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
