S&K Technologies, Inc. IT Service Desk in East Port Orchard, Washington

The IT Service Desk position will provide customer service for Government clientele in a forward-facing environment at the IT Support Counter. Assist end-users with troubleshooting non-functioning computers, printers, tablets, cellphones, & various other IT equipment. Maintain the printer consumable program through usage metrics and inventory management. Maintain the IT peripheral issuance and ordering process to supply end-users with various computer peripherals such as keyboards, mice, common access card readers & microphone headsets. Asset Management / Inventory / Troubleshooting/AV Manage the printer consumables program, including replacing consumables, maintaining a consumables inventory, and providing printer consumable ordering information based on inventory and usage metrics. Customer service, Printer support, minor trouble shooting & repair on Xerox, HP, Lexmark printers. Prepare property for shipment to DRMO and recycling centers. Change out toner and user serviceable parts, works most of the time independently. Diagnose/troubleshoot problems and make minor repair of printers, computers, and various other IT equipment. IT experience is highly desired. Must have extensive experience with MS Office (Excel, Access) and computer competences. Work closely with contractor and government personnel to identify and resolve basic to complex issues. Interact with customers on a day-to-day basis regarding various technology needs Quickly identify problems, form solutions, and execute step-by-step troubleshooting procedures Assist users with meetings in the various Auditoriums, Conference Room, Commanders Conference Room, and various Legal Offices Assist users with understanding how to configure settings and utilization of existing equipment. This entails being present before the meeting and until it is underway C109.31 & .37 will submit tickets for systems that need to be recovered throughout the shipyard that are offline. Which will require good asset locating and recovery skills Processes & Procedures / Documentation Provide monthly reports on inventory and usage metrics. Assist with developing SOPs, user instructions, and manuals Assist in the development of user training materials, provide user training Review, route, update, resolve tickets for customer issues Inventory management receiving shipments, restocking Ability to manage a shared calendar that has reoccurring/scheduled meetings Miscellaneous Subcontractor is not excluded from providing labor in support of other Task Areas as required, if it is deemed to be in the best interests of the Program. Must perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of management on a temporary or extended basis. Education High school diploma or equivalent Experience Two years IT experience is desired Licenses/ Certification/ Registration Current drivers' license, proof of U.S. citizenship; the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Strong preference given to candidates who meet all job requirements and possess an active DoD Secret clearance. CompTIA certification desired. Special knowledge, skills, & abilities Knowledge of basic data security principals. Ability to safely operate government vehicles to transport assets around PSNS and between commands. Ability to work with limited supervision and prioritize workflow as needed while maintaining communications with other support personnel and supervisor. Proven ability to maintain professionalism, with a commitment to customer service. The ability to lift 70 lbs. solo or 150 lbs. in a 2-man lift. May need to Operate forklift.
