Responsibilities

Acting as an acknowledged 'go to' person on coding and technical issues, for both internal and external contacts

  • Interfacing with other personnel or team members to identify solutions to customer problems

  • Develop innovative strategies and processes for ingesting, transforming, and managing data in bulk

  • Modify, test and deploy custom B2C policies

  • Writing queries, functions, and ETL jobs

  • Schedule and coordinate database jobs, monitor progress and completion of all jobs, and take corrective action as needed

  • Manage and monitor various data feeds through the system and handle issues as they arise

  • Consult on feature design, implementation, and relevant metrics like reliability, completeness, accuracy, and cost

  • Perform capacity monitoring, as well as short and long-term capacity planning

  • Requirements

Have a BS degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, able to delegate effectively.

  • Have experience with Azure and AWS products.

  • Have familiarity with RDS, Redis, Lambda, S3, EC2s

  • Have experience with programming languages such as Java and Python

  • Expertise with various database systems, the development of micro-services, optimization, and industry best practices

  • Have experience in partnering with and leading internal and external technology resources to solve business needs.

  • Have substantial experience with query languages.

  • Have the ability to guide engineers and other team members on features and best practices.

  • Have documentation skills for processes and procedures.

  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience.
