Heritage Environmental Services, LLC Service Technician I in East Liverpool, Ohio

Heritage at a Glance Heritage Thermal Services (HTS) is dedicated to safety, compliance, our community and our employees. Our primary core value is "safe and compliant or not at all". HTS is located on the Ohio River in East Liverpool, Ohio. Known as the tri-state area, we border Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The facility is approximately 30 minutes from the Greater Pittsburgh Airport and provides opportunity for big city adventures, small town communities, and country living. Requirements: Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, background check, and drug screen. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including a respirator. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and over time when necessary. Must be able to participate in Emergency Response and Fire Brigade. Experience operating a fork truck. HAZWOPER certificate and / or Firefighting experience is a plus. Minimum Education: High School diploma or its equivalent. Responsibilities include: Load and/or unload drums and containers from trucks. Process and/or store hazardous waste materials. Weigh and breakdown large containers into smaller containers. Inspection and mechanical placement of drums on conveyor. Manual placement of buckets from pallet to carriage. Drive forklift to retrieve drums and containers from storage. Operate computer and conveyor. Transport/position trailers and tankers for collection of slag and ash. Pump out containers of liquid. Transfer material from tank to tank using a centrifugal pump. Clean-up work area Other duties as assigned.
