Other responsibilities include inventory control, controlled substances distribution, documentation and accountability, assisting in the inspection of medication storage areas throughout the hospital, and maintaining the cleanliness of the department. All responsibilities are performed under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist according to local board of pharmacy and state regulations. The Pharmacy Intern participates in providing pharmaceutical care for the following age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
