Transportation Research Center, Inc. Automated Driving Technical Research Specialist in East Liberty, Ohio

Position Description TRC Inc. is seeking to hire a Technical Specialist to lead and support research and testing efforts investigating the safety of automated vehicles. Research topics may include methods to test safety of automated driving systems, modeling, and simulation of automated driving systems/subsystems/sensors. Responsibilities will include research design, problem identification, the development of test procedures and guidelines, experiment conduct, data processing and analysis, and report writing/publication. Other Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions) Analyze data and write reports Work in a team or fully independently to reach project goals Effectively report research and test results in various and non-standard formats Critically evaluate and correct deficiencies in technical proposals, plans, and reports Keep up with industry trends and issues in automotive transportation fields Make technical presentations at automotive industry conferences and meetings Support TRC Inc.'s Quality and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts Qualifications Must Live in the United States 3 years prior to applying Electrical Engineering/Computer Science Master's degree plus ten years' experience / PhD. or widely recognized as an expert in automated vehicle testing, development, and simulation. Expert knowledge of coding in Python, C++, Matlab Proficiency in Linux, ROS Experience with sensors, but not limited to, LiDar, radar, camera, sensor fusion. Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI as it applies to automated vehicles.
