Workstation & Mobility Services Analyst

Position Summary

Workstation management offers at-your-side support working directly with employees in other MSU units that depend on the Office of Health Science Information Technology (OHS IT) for support. This position will provide front-line operational coordination for the Workstation Management team within OHS IT. Workstation management is responsible for the setup, support, management, and decommissioning of workstations. The right candidate will act as a peer leader to improve processes, triage incoming customer requests and handle customer escalations. This may include working with university stakeholders to configure and distribute assets to meet business objectives; tagging, managing, and decommissioning assets over their lifecycles; and/or providing quality workstation support to end users as requests, issues, and problems are reported. Workstation management is responsible for maintaining security standards on devices issued by OHS IT, including, but not limited to, antivirus software provisioning, software patching, and encryption configuration. Workstation management is also responsible for imaging, backup, and restoration services for managed devices within the Health Colleges (Human Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, and Nursing) and Clinics.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in an information technology area related to the duties to be performed; experience with service desk software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid vehicle operator's license.
