Position Summary

A position is available immediately for a highly self-motivated Research Associate with experience in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and structure biology to work in the laboratories of Robert Hausinger and Jian Hu.

The position is associated with an NIH-funded project to characterize enzymes that synthesize and use the recently discovered nickel-pincer nucleotide cofactor.

We seek an excellent scientist with hands-on training in molecular biology, protein expression/purification, and, ideally, structure determination by x-ray crystallography.

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term position with reappointment contingent on satisfactory performance and available funding.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, or other field closely related to protein structure and enzyme characterization.

Desired Qualifications

The successful applicant will have demonstrated skills in molecular biology and protein purification. Experience in structure characterization is highly preferred.
