Position Summary

The Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition seeks a Research Associate (Postdoctoral Researcher) to work in Dr. Courtney Carignan's research program.  The primary responsibilities for this position are to develop and test dietary exposure models for a wide range of contaminants, lead manuscript preparation, and give scientific presentations.

Doctorate

Minimum Requirements
  • A doctoral degree in Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Nutritional Science, Food Science or a related discipline, with a demonstration of computational exposure modeling and scientific writing skills. 
  • Demonstrated skills in data management, data analysis and scientific writing.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with computational exposure modeling.
  • Experience with toxicological risk assessment.
  • Experience presenting scientific findings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Good organizational skills.
