Position Summary

This position requires flexibility, direct communication with other employees/students, and working independently, the selected candidate will work in a high energy environment in the role of office support in the Management Department; will provide support for Director of the MS Program and MS Certificate Programs including processing applications and certifications; provides assistance to faculty/graduate students in support of their teaching and research activities; assists office supervisor with HR/budget matters and day-to-day operations of the main office; reconciles receipts with monthly ledgers and orders supplies/equipment; processes travel authorizations/reimbursements for faculty/students; processes overrides, enrollments, and verifies prerequisites all in accordance with department policy; assists with budgets, reports, and the submission of grant proposals; handles confidential material in support of academics, research, and outreach; interacts with students, faculty, staff, administrators, executives, alumni, other campus units, and the public to provide information and guidance on a variety of functions and projects; demonstrates sound judgement and maintains a positive and professional office environment.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in word processing, spreadsheet, database and/or desktop publishing software; presentation and webpage software; typing and filing; maintaining accounting ledgers; may require knowledge of technical or medical terminology and/or technical knowledge or training related to the field of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
