Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary position.

To learn and assist in the maintenance of university outdoor areas, including grounds, roads, sidewalks and other paved and unpaved areas, golf course greens, tees, fairways, roughs, plants and trees.To assist in snow and leaf removal.

Unit Position Summary

The Department of Radiology is hiring a Grounds Aide to maintain the Radiology Healing Gardens. This includes but is not limited to, plant maintenance including weeding and watering in the gardens, greenhouse, and interiorscape; pond maintenance including scrubbing pond walls and waterfalls and cleaning pond filters; feeding fish; spreading mulch; and operating power equipment such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers, trimmers, and edgers.

Desired Qualifications

High school diploma/GED. Previous experience with plants, ponds, and gardening equipment.
